Combining a years worth of recorded material with live performances, Abandoned In Sleep is Jonathan Lee's second solo album under his Anduin moniker. It's an amplified document of the moments before sleep, living dreams drenched in warm low end, full of shadowy audio treasures. The Bending Of Light is a collaboration between Gothenburg Sweden's Jasper TX (aka Dag Rosenqvist) and Richmond Virginia's Anduin (aka Jonathan Lee). These six tracks, titled with quotes from Carl Sagan about the formation of a black hole, are monstrous vacuums of darkness broken apart by rays of light. The deep guitar tones and wavering synthesizers layered over waves of textured sound creates electronica that's totally subtle yet strikingly beautiful. A wonderful addition to both artist's growing catalog of music. Artwork by Dan Owen. Mastered by James Plotkin (Khanate). Svarte Greiner's Erik Skodvin performed his first US shows in 2008 and many of those dates were with Anduin's Jonathan Lee. Each night after their solo sets, the two artists would do an improv collaboration to cap off the evening. This recording captures one of these performances. Titled by combining the interpretations of both artist's names, 'Black River (Live)' is a slow rolling yet powerful wall of sound that continues to build until the very end. Limited to 300 copies and housed in a black sleeve. Mastered by James Plotkin.
